Mr. Dalzell is the Activities Director at Sam Barlow High School. He has taught music at every level from kindergarten through high school. He has taught previously at Gordon Russell Middle School, Hollydale Elementary School and in the Beaverton and Parkrose Districts. At Parkrose, he served as the high school choir director for ten years and also taught classes at the middle school and elementary level.
Mr. Dalzell received his B.A. in Music Education from Columbia Christian College, and a M.S.T. from Portland State University with an emphasis in Secondary Choral Music. He recently completed his Initial Administrators License through Concordia University (Portland).
Dan sings bass & baritone with the Portland Symphonic Choir, where he has appeared as a soloist. He also enjoys doing home improvement projects, running, gardening, watching sports, and coaching basketball. Dan and his wife, Lani, live in Gresham, Oregon and have four children -- Hannah, Micah, Caleb, & Levi, and two labradoodles -- Molly and Jasmine.
